Greetings, Sorors!
I pray this message finds you well and in good spirits today!
As we approach the end of 2020, I find myself in a personal space of reflecting upon all of the events that have taken place this year – within my life, the lives of my friends and family, and throughout the world we live in. Whether it concerns the status of my own health, the loss of a loved one, celebrating a friend’s good news, casting my vote in the 2020 presidential election, I find myself in a space where I am thankful for all that I’ve experienced and all that I have – tangible, or otherwise.
I think it’s safe to say that most people find themselves in the same space of reflection around the holidays, at the end of each year and the start of the next. After all, the holidays are traditionally the season where most of the world collectively thinks about and acts upon the idea of giving thanks, such as during times when we are surrounding ourselves with family, when we’re giving gifts to others, and even during the time of year when we’re spreading ‘joy to the world’ – all reasons to be thankful for, should we be fortunate enough to do so.
As we think of our lists [and check them twice] of all of the things we’re thankful for, I’m going to take the liberty of sharing something that recently came to mind and I felt compelled to share: ‘Tis the season to not only give, but to be willing and open to receive. Absolutely, in all things, give thanks. Especially give thanks for any and every opportunity to be a blessing to others, and for everything in and around your life that enables you to spread the gifts of Love, Peace and Joy. I encourage you, however, to also position yourself to receive those very same gifts…yes, the gifts of Love, Peace and Joy.
For all, 2020 has been a year beyond comparison to any other, but regardless of the day, month or year, let me remind you that YOU are absolutely deserving of any and everything good …here, now and always. Reflect upon this as often as you can, and consider this: Love, Peace and Joy are not seasonal. It is my personal belief that regardless of our current circumstances, they are available to us at any given moment, and are the very reason we are here.
Stay open to receiving ALL things good…and as always, Stay FINER, Sorors.
Sisterly,
